ECU Set To Open Fall Season At Minnesota Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina women's golf team will open the 2016-17 season Monday, Sept. 12 when it participates in the Minnesota Invitational, which is hosted by the University of Minnesota. The event will be played at the par-72, 6,119-yard Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Pirates, who claimed the tournament title in 2014 and a second place finish a year ago, will be joined in the 12-team field by Furman, Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State, Minnesota, Purdue, TCU, Texas and Wisconsin.
ECU Head Coach Kevin Williams will use a line consisting of junior Lisa Pettersson, sophomores Carley Cox and Kate Law, and the freshmen duo of Dorthea Forbrigd and Siranon Shoomee.
The 54-hole tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (ET).
