
Grace Sullivan Tabbed AAC Female Athlete Of The Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Junior Grace Sullivan has been named the American Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Week, according to an announcement by the league Tuesday.

It is the first weekly honor for a Pirate cross country athlete since Zack Montijo claimed the honor back on Sept. 16, 2008.

Sullivan won the individual title at the ECU Pirate Invitational last Friday, running a 6K time of 20:37 that matched her personal best and is the second fastest in program history. Sullivan has finished as the top ECU runner in three of four meets this season.

The Pirates are back in action Oct. 28 at the American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships in Philadelphia, Pa.
