ECU enters the match with a 15-9 overall record after falling in three sets at SMU Saturday in Dallas. Senior outside hitter Lael Ceriani is one of four Pirate players averaging over two kills per set, checking in with a 3.17 average – good for ninth in the AAC rankings. Defensively, sophomore libero Brandee Markwith is putting up 5.31 digs per set. She has tallied 473 digs this campaign, putting her fifth on the program single-season list. Additionally, senior middle hitter Natalie Montini leads the team and is third in the conference with a .331 hitting percentage.

As a team, ECU averages 13.13 kills, 12.20 assists, 0.96 aces, 16.12 digs and 2.16 blocks per set as well as sporting a .230 hitting percentage. The Pirates are third in the AAC in hitting percentage and fourth in kills per set.
Â
N.C. Central carries a 3-16 overall record into Tuesday's affair, most recently falling 3-0 at the hands of North Carolina A&T Friday in Greensboro. Da'Nesha Miller leads the offensive efforts for the Eagles, averaging 2.11 kills per set, while Bree Simmons has been the top defensive performer on the squad, sporting a 3.52 digs per set mark.

The Purple and Gold returns home Friday night at 7 p.m. when ECU hosts league opponent USF for its annual "Paint it Gold" match.
