GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The ECU women's tennis team defeated North Carolina Central, 7-0, in the team's first home match at the River Birch tennis complex.

Freshman Alisa Diercksen and senior Maria Gomez set the tone early with a 6-0 straight-set victory over the Eagles at the No. 2 doubles spot.

ECU's Lisa Hofbauer was the first to finish in the singles round, defeating Maru Berghaus 6-0, 6-0. No. 52 Celia Ruiz defeated North Carolina Central's No. 1 Jamie Rodgers 6-1, 6-0.
