
Women’s Tennis Remains Perfect at Home with Victory over Richmond

Greenville, N.C. --- The ECU Women's tennis (11-6, 1-3) returned home for the first time in over a month to secure a 4-0 victory over Richmond (2-9, 1-1). The Pirates remained perfect at home this season, 4-0, with the win.

Celia Ruiz and Alisa Diercksen paired for the first time this season in doubles play to secure the first win of the day with a 6-0 victory over Richmond's Emily Dunbar and Ana Ramirez. ECU's Hsia Ho Chiao and Nastja Rettich secured the doubles point with a 6-4 score over the Spiders top duo of Kiana Marshall and Lyndell Giffenig.

The Pirates would then add wins in order at the four, five and six spots to secure the match victory. Diercksen defeated Gaby Rosales 6-1, 6-2. Sarah Sarjoo defeated Richmond's Ana Ramirez 6-2, 6-3. Hsia Ho Chiao evened her solo season record (6-6) and clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-3 score from the No. 6 spot.
