Hunter Roberts Tabbed AAC Female Track Athlete Of The Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Senior sprinter Hunter Roberts has been named the American Athletic Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week, according to an announcement by the league Tuesday.

She is the second Pirate to earn a weekly honor from the conference in 2018, joining junior Ryan Davis who was selected the male field athlete of the week back on Jan. 30.

Roberts tied the fastest 100-meter hurdle time in the AAC this season at the Aggie Invitational last weekend, crossing the finish line in 13.45. It is the third-fastest mark in program history. She also moved up to 28th in the NCAA East Region and 39th nationally in the event.

ECU has one meet remaining before turning its attention to the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships as the Pirates will travel to Durham this weekend for the Duke Invitational at the Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium.
