GREENVILLE, N.C. – Riding a three-game winning streak, the ECU women's lacrosse team tries to keep it going with a midweek contest at Liberty on Wednesday afternoon.

ECU (5-1) has already more than doubles its win total from its inaugural season and is currently riding a three-game winning streak. The last win was a 16-8 win over Saint Francis. It was the third time this season that ECU has beaten a team that the Pirates lost to in 2018. After scoring three goals and winning 10 draws against the Red Flash, Nicole LeGar was named the American Midfielder of the Week. It was the fifth time the sophomore midfielder has scored multiple goals this season.

Christina White is among the national leaders in goaltending categories. The sophomore goalkeeper is third in the nation and first in the conference with 70 saves. She is 13th in save percentage, stopping 53.0% of shots. Megan Pallozzi (13) and LeGar (12) are third and fifth in the American in goals, while Brittany Borchers (10), Hannah Rzempoluch (eight) and Ally Stanton (eight) are all in the top-five of the league in assists.

Liberty (4-2) has been defensively sound so far this season, allowing more than nine goals just once. The Flames have actually been better away from home in the early going, as both of their losses are in Lynchburg. Carly White leads the offense with 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists. Kayla Foster has a team-best eight assists to go with seven goals. In goal, Katherine Widrick has played every single minute and has 49 saves and a .510 save percentage. Hope Flack has 27 draw controls with White adding 23 of her own. Brianna McCaffrey leads the team with 19 caused turnovers.
