AUGUSTA, Kan. – Junior Lindsay Yentz secured all-league honors for the first time in her career Saturday afternoon with an eighth-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships. The meet was contested at the 4 Mile Resort right outside of Wichita.

Yentz posted a career-best 6K time of 21:38 to become the first all-conference performer for the Pirate women since Anna Bristle in 2018. Freshman Maddie Hatfield was next across the finish line, clocking in at 22:37 in her ECU debut. Bristle was 32nd while junior Jaeden Phelix ended up in 44th and junior Abby Yourkavitch was 48th.

For the men, sophomore Chase Osborne notched a 17th-place finish with the fastest 8K time of his career at 25:04. Junior Matthew Russell clocked in at 25:36 for a 32nd-place result while freshman Austin Mathews and senior Josh Spare claimed 34th and 35th with respective times of 25:41 and 25:45.
