GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina wraps up its 2021 regular season hosting Memphis in a four-game American Athletic Conference series at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.

The set begins with a single game Friday at 11:30 a.m., continues with a Saturday doubleheader at Noon and closes with a single contest Sunday at 10:30 a.m.Â

The Pirates (12-32, 3-17 AAC) and Tigers (9-36, 2-18 AAC) occupy sixth and seventh place in the league standings with the conference tournament looming next week.

ECU captured one of four games at league leader South Florida last weekend, receiving a complete-game shutout from Kama Woodall in the series finale to knock off the Bulls by a 1-0 score. She was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll as a result as she finished the weekend with a 1.29 earned run average.

Rachel McCollum leads East Carolina in batting average (.336), hits (45) and doubles (9) while Chandley Garner has posted a squad-high nine home runs and 24 RBI. Woodall has anchored the pitching staff to the tune of a 7-18 record, 3.66 earned run average, 13 complete games and 90 strikeouts in 164.1 innings of work.

Memphis split four games at home against Houston last weekend. Alyssa Dean paces the Tiger offensive attack with a .316 batting average, seven doubles and five RBI. In the circle, Mariah Nichols has tossed a team-high 86.0 innings and has compiled a 2-10 record as well as a 5.45 ERA. She also owns 51 strikeouts against 62 walks. As a unit, Memphis is hitting .228 with 37 doubles, eight triples and 19 home runs.

• The Pirates are 11-7 against the Tigers in Greenville.
