
Pirates Head To Lynchburg For Liberty Hidden Duals

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's tennis program resumes its fall slate this weekend at the Liberty Hidden Duals at the Liberty Tennis Complex in Lynchburg, Va.

Participating Institutions: Liberty, Campbell, Delaware, East Carolina, Elon

The tournament consists of simulated dual matches after which the event's winner will be determined by a points system:

No. 1 Flight – 6 points
No. 2 Flight – 5 points
No. 3 Flight – 4 points
No. 4 Flight – 3 points
No. 5 Flight – 2 points
No. 6-10 Flights – 1 point

9:00 a.m. – East Carolina vs. Campbell/Delaware
2:00 p.m. – East Carolina vs. Elon/Delaware

9:00 a.m. – East Carolina vs. Liberty/Delaware

The Pirates most recently competed at the Elon Fall Invitational two weeks ago. ECU collected 16 singles victories and six doubles wins. Freshman Noelle Talarek advanced to the finals of the Acorn B Draw before falling to Nour Gueblaoui of North Carolina A&T by a 6-1, 7-5 margin. Martina Muzzolon and Kim Auerswald notched third-place results in their respective singles draws while Auerswald and Bachir teamed up to take third place in the Maroon Draw. Additionally, ECU took home five consolation draw titles to round out a solid weekend showing.
