GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team is set to host the first of four straight home tournaments beginning on Thursday, when the Pirates kick off the Pirate Clash with a doubleheader against Bucknell at 4 and 6:30 p.m. at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium on ESPN+.

The Pirates (8-2) who have won six straight will compete against Radford (3 p.m.) and Saint Francis (5:30 p.m.) on Friday before facing Saint Francis again on Saturday at 3 p.m. If any games are affected due to rain on Saturday, the Pirates will play on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 12:30 p.m.

The Pirates recorded a sweep last weekend, going 5-0 in the Battle at the Beach tournament in Conway, S.C. ECU defeated Drexel 4-1 and Colgate 6-2 on Friday to open the tournament and bested both teams again on Saturday, taking down Colgate 3-1 and outlasting Drexel 4-3 in extra innings. The Pirates run-ruled tournament host Coastal Carolina on Sunday 11-3 to complete the weekend.

Bucknell History
The series is tied at 2-2 and the teams have not faced one another since Feb. 21, 2016, when the Pirates earned a 1-0 win at home.

Saint Francis History
Saint Francis leads the series 6-3 but East Carolina has won the last two meetings including a 4-2 win in 2021.

Radford History
East Carolina leads the series with Radford 6-2 and the Pirates took the last meeting against the Highlanders on April 5, 2017, at home 5-0.
