
East Carolina Drops Dual Meet At Liberty, 194-155

Lynchburg, Va. āĀ The East Carolina swimming and diving team concluded its second weekend of competition on Saturday afternoon as the Pirates fell to Liberty, 194-155, at the Liberty Natatorium.
The Pirates were strong in the diving well with Frida Zuniga (279.95 score) winning the three-meter dive followed by fellow divers Kinsley Baker (229.80 score) and Cecilia Bragantini (225.80 score) to round out the top three for the event. ECU also placed divers in the top three in the one-meter dive as well in Zuniga (264.55), Romina Hernandez (233.45) and Baker (220.90).
"Performed much better than last week," head coach Matthew Jabs said. "Our divers once again were outstanding. We just got beat by a better team this weekend. Proud of our girls, they did very well."
The Pirates had two swimmers finish in the top-two of the 100-yard butterfly with Tanith Mueller winning the event with a final time of 56.70, followed by Lilou Alzaix's time of 57.28. Elena Dinehart, Mikayla Durkin and Carlie Clements also turned in strong performances with second place finishes in multiple events.
