November 14, 2025 | Lacrosse
GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team will play a 16-game regular season slate in 2026 featuring seven home contests, the program announced on Friday.
Â
The Pirates' schedule features three-straight home games to start the season against Queens, Coastal Carolina and Elon. The home slate also features a non-conference affair with San Diego State prior to opening American Conference competition. ECU will play a trio of home contests during league play against Temple, Old Dominion and Charlotte.
Â
The 2026 schedule also features three games against NCAA Tournament teams from last season, all of which finished the season in the top 25 nationally with road games at Duke, James Madison and defending NCAA Champion North Carolina.
Â
Other marquee contests include a trip to ACC foe Viginia Tech, a regular season finale at home against rival Charlotte and a chance to avenge the Pirates' 2025 American Semifinal loss to South Florida with a late season road game.
Â
The 2026 American Conference Tournament will be hosted at Vanderbilt on April 30 and May 2.
Â
The Pirates went 7-10 in 2025, including a program record 4-2 mark in league play. It was a season featuring historic individual success as Emma Magazu earned American Defensive Player of the Year honors and Kayla Wilkes earned American Midfielder of the Year recognition, the first two postseason awards in program history. Both players are back in 2026.
