GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team begins its California trip with a late contest, a 10 p.m. ET meeting with San Diego State on Monday evening at the Aztec's Snapdragon Stadium. The game will be available for streaming on YouTube.

Last Time Out
The Pirates saw an epic comeback fall just short on the road at Coastal Carolina in their last contest. Trailing by as many as six goals, the team roared back, twice tying the game in the final minutes, including on a Rachel Chessock goal with just 10 seconds remaining in regulation. It was not to be, however, as the Chanticleers scored the game-winning goal with 33 seconds remaining in the overtime period.

Scouting the Aztecs
San Diego State enters the game with a 4-3 record after getting out to a hot start, winning their first four games of the year before losses to talented Denver, USC and Oregon squads. On the year, Frankie Garcie leads the team with 29 points on 19 goals and a team-best 10 assists while Bella Tan has found the back of the goal most consistency with her 26 scores individually. In goal it's been Caitlin Boughton getting the majority of the minutes between the pipes with 60 saves already in the new season. Boughton has been getting quality help from the field players in front of her including six players with greater than five caused turnovers, led by Reilly Hunter's 10.
