Pirates Take Two Of Three At Tribe Quad Meet

Hampton, Va. – The East Carolina swimming and diving team concluded competition in their penultimate regular season meet, emerging victorious in two of their three meets at the Tribe Quad Meet at the Hampton Aquaplex on Friday afternoon.
The Pirates fell to host William & Mary, 208-86, but defeated Old Dominion (247-47) and Richmond (174-125).
"We swam and dove very well," head coach Matthew Jabs said. "I was surprised by some of the performances we saw today considering the intensity of practices our coaches have been putting them through. Winning two out of three meets is a solid weekend. One more meet in the regular season. Can't wait to compete at home in front of our family and friends."
East Carolina's standout performers in the pool were Carlie Clements, Mikayla Durkin, Elena Dinehart and Sara Kalawska while Frida Zuniga and Cecelia Bragantini starred in the diving well with the latter setting an ECU freshman record in the 1-meter dive.
