
Pirates Cruise Past UNCW, 6-1

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Jenna Krol and Kanisha Anderson both went 3-for-4 at the plate as East Carolina defeated UNCW, 6-1, on Wednesday afternoon at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
Krol also had three RBI for the Pirates (6-5) who have won two in a row.
After building an early 2-0 lead, ECU blew the game open with three runs in the bottom of the second on an RBI single from Sarah Stone and a two-run double from Krol.
The Pirates tacked on another run in the bottom of the third that provided enough of a cushion for the midweek win.
Sydney Rainford (1-0) picked up her first career win in 2.2 innings.

East Carolina faces James Madison at 3 p.m. and Towson at 5:30 p.m. in the Pirate Clash on Friday.
