Pirates Sweep Second Day Of Battle At The Max

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina softball team earned two wins on Saturday afternoon, rallying to defeat St. John's 2-1 with some late-inning drama and cruising past Rider 7-2 on the second day of the Battle at the Max inside Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
Kanisha Anderson starred on the day for ECU (13-7) going 3-for-6 at the plate over the two games including hitting a triple in both games. Macey Ciamillo drove in two runs with a home run and Hailey Deter recorded two hits in the Rider win.
Sydney Rainford (3-1) recorded her second complete game of the week with the win over St. John's and Abby Huhn (2-0) picked up the win in ECU's five-run win against Rider.
