Lacrosse Season Opener Shifted To Sunday
February 06, 2026 | Lacrosse
GREENVILLE, N.C. - Due to field conditions following last weekend's winter weather, and in an effort to allow field conditions to improve further, the East Carolina lacrosse team's season opener against Queens has been moved to Sunday at 2 p.m.
Originally scheduled for Saturday at the same time, the game remains free to attend for fans and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
The Pirates are coming off of a 7-10 campaign in 2025 which saw a program record 4-2 mark in American Conference play. The team has been tabbed third with one first-place vote in the conference entering 2026 and veteran players Kayla Wilkes and Jaime Behar were named Preseason Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Year in the conference, respectively.
