Memphis, Tenn. – East Carolina is set to resume American Conference play this weekend when the Pirates travel to Memphis to battle the Tigers Mar. 20-22.
Friday's series opener is slated for a 6 p.m. ET first pitch and all three games in the series will be streamed on ESPN+ with Tyler Springs on the call.
The Pirates are coming off of a 10-1 midweek win in five innings over Elon on Tuesday after another American Conference series win last weekend, this time on the road as ECU defeated Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton.
Kanisha Anderson leads ECU at the plate with a .374 batting average and 37 hits while Anna Sawyer (.365) and Jenna Krol (.329) give the Pirates a solid top of the order. ECU has back-to-back American Conference Pitchers of the Week in Sydney Rainford (2.94 ERA, 32 Ks) and Julia Apostolakos (3.53 ERA, 51 Ks) after the pair helped the Pirates to series wins over Wichita State and Florida Atlantic respectively.

Memphis enters the weekend having dropped its last seven games including a 15-0 loss in five innings at home to No. 6 Oklahoma on Wednesday night. Ariel Davis leads Memphis on offense with five home runs and a .363 batting average while Taniyah Brown (4.48 ERA) leads the team in the circle.
