Behar Named to American Conference All-Tournament Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - East Carolina lacrosse goalkeeper Jaime Behar has been named to the American Conference Championship All-Tournamen Team, the league announced following the event's conclusion on Saturday.

Behar, a Second Team All-Conference honoree this season, was sensational in the Pirates' semifinal contest against No. 25 James Madison, making 15 saves and allowing just nine goals in what turned into a narrow defeat, 9-7, for the team. Behar saved the first six shots on goal of the day against the Dukes, setting the tone early and allowing ECU to lead throughout the contest.

The senior by way of Mineola, N.Y. brought her ECU career to a close in the game, finishing this season with 130 saves to conclude her decorated career with 359 total stops and a .426 save percentage. In each of her final two seasons, Behar took home All-Conference recognition, now culminating with one more honor for her triumphant performance this week.

James Madison went on to defeat South Florida 17-7 in the American Championship Game, only further highlighting just how impressive the effort was for the Pirates.
