Leah Kelley enters her second year as an assistant coach at East Carolina, after joing the staff prior to the 2012-13 season.
Kelley, who works with the team[apos]s infielders and outfielders, also handles game management and recruiting responsibilities. A two-year letterwinner at Maryville College, she helped the Scots reach the championship game of the Great South Athletic Conference in 2012.

While at Maryville, the former middle infielder earned National Fast Pitch Coaches Association Division III All-Atlantic Region honors in each of the last two years. In 2011, she hit a nation-leading .522 with 36 runs, 60 hits, 13 doubles, six triples, seven home runs, 37 RBI, 106 total bases, 13 walks, a .922 slugging percentage and a .565 on-base percentage on her way to Player-of-the-Year honors in the GSAC. In 2012, she also earned a place on the All-Great South team after hitting .423 with 30 runs, 47 hits, 16 doubles, four triples, six home runs, 35 RBI, 89 total bases and a slugging percentage of .801.
Kelley joined the Maryville program after spending two years at Chattanooga State. In her two campaigns under Keylon-Randolph[apos]s direction, she hit .379 with 141 hits, 31 doubles, three triples, 17 home runs, 122 RBI and 103 runs scored on teams that combined to go 111-21. She was a two-time first-team all-conference selection during her time with the Tigers. During the 2010 season, Kelley tied the NJCAA record with four home runs during the NJCAA National Tournament and broke the record with three long balls during one game.
Kelley joined Keylon-Randolph[apos]s staff at CSCC in August 2013 prior to accepting the position at ECU just two months later.
Kelley earned her bachelor[apos]s degree in physical education from Maryville College in May 2012.
