As Head Coach
The Pirates took a major leap forward in Dipper’s second season. The team finished with an overall record of 7-10 while setting a program record for American Athletic Conference wins with a 4-2 mark in league play. In so doing, the Pirates made the 2025 conference tournament where they faced South Florida. The team made a habit of playing close games on the year with eight one-goal games, nearly working their way to an even better record. The Pirates broke several records on the year, including single season assists (92), single game draw controls (21) and single game caused turnovers (17).
Â
In 2025, Dipper also guided several individuals to historical accolades. Emma Magazu and Kayla Wilkes became the first ECU players ever to win player of the year honors as they were named American Defensive Player of the Year and American Midfielder of the Year, respectively. Both players were named unanimously to the All-Conference First Team while four other players earned Second-Team nods. Additionally, Magazu became just the third player in program history to earned IWLCA All-Region honors with South Region Second Team recognition.
In Dipper's first season at the helm for the Pirates, the team compiled a 4-12 final record while breaking numerous records along the way, including the program's single-season ground ball record and many individual career marks. Dipper helped guide three players to All-Conference recognition with Caroline Kimel taking First-Team honors and Ellie Bromley and Alexandra Giacolone taking Second-Team accolades. Throughout the season, individuals were also named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on eight occasions.
Prior to East Carolina
Dipper came to Greenville after one season as an assistant coach at the University of Virginia under legendary coach Julie Myers. The Cavaliers posted an 11-7 overall record (6-3 conference) in 2023 and advance to the NCAA tournament.
Â
Prior to Virginia, Dipper spent three seasons at Boston University including serving as the Associate Head Coach for the 2022 season. At BU, working primarily with the team's defense, Dipper helped the Terriers to their best season since 2011 with an 11-7 record in 2019 - including a 6-3 mark in Patriot League games.
Â
Dipper has North Carolina ties as she spent four seasons at Elon, aiding the Phoenix to a 35-33 record while also working her way to the associate head coaching position in 2017. That 2017 squad compiled a program-best 13-7 record while stunning three-ranked opponents en route to a CAA Tournament finals appearance.Â
Â
Dipper began her coaching career at Stetson after an illustrious playing career at the University of Maryland. She played four years in goal for the Terrapins, helping the team to four-straight ACC titles, four-straight Final Four appearances and the 2010 NCAA Championship. The Clarksboro, N.J., native also racked up her fair share of individual accolades including being named the IWLCA, Synapse Sports and WomensLax.com National Goalkeeper of the Year in 2011 while leading the nation in goals against average (6.54) and save percentage (.522).
