2023: Appeared in all 18 games with 17 starts... Recorded 40 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers and 27 draw controls... Registered five ground balls against Radford (2/10), Vanderbilt (4/2) and Cicinnati (4/8)... Contributed six draw controls against Campbell (2/22) while also adding an assist... Second in program history in single season caused turnovers, third in caused turnovers... One-time AAC Honor Roll recognition... Second-Team All-AAC honoree.
2022 at Villanova: Named BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, the first Villanova women’s lacrosse player ever to earn the award. Also named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Named to 2022 IWCLA Academic Honor Roll. Appeared in all 16 games, making 15 starts and recorded 26 ground balls with 15 caused turnovers and 32 draw controls. Against a nationally ranked Maryland (3/13) team, the senior had four ground balls, two caused turnovers and five draw controls. In conference play, she totaled eight ground balls, six caused turnovers and seven craw controls in five BIG EAST games. Finishes her Villanova career as the all-time leader in caused turnovers for a career with 84. Her 131 career draw controls are also the fifth most in program history.
2021 at Villanova: Named Preseason All-BIG EAST as a junior defender. Earned All-BIG EAST first team. Named to weekly BIG EAST Honor Roll for her performance in a weekend series against Butler (4/9 and 4/11), totaling 10 draw controls and her first goal of the season. Named to 2021 IWCLA Academic Honor Roll. Started in all 17 games for Villanova. Recorded a season high eight draw controls against Wagner (2/23). Had a season high four caused turnovers in two games, Georgetown (3/19) and Marquette (3/28). Led the Wildcats in caused turnovers and ground balls, finishing the season with 25 and 40 respectively. Finished season second in draw controls with 68.Â
2020 at Villanova: Frank started all eight games on defense for the Wildcats in her sophomore season. She recorded a team-high 15 caused turnovers and was second on the team in ground balls (15). She also had 12 draw controls which was the third-highest on the team. Frank had a season-high three caused turnovers in three games: at Cornell (2/15), at No. 16 Navy (2/22) and vs. Saint Joseph's (3/4). She ranked No. 1 in caused turnovers in the BIG EAST. She also ranked 22nd nationally in the category, averaging 1.88 caused turnovers per game.
2019 at Villanova: As a freshman, Frank was an enormous contributor to the Wildcats defensively. In her first year she started in all 18 contests and led the pack with 31 caused turnovers. She also collected 29 ground balls and won 19 draw controls. Additionally, she finished as second in the BIG EAST for caused turnovers per game averaging 1.72 and ranked 35th nationally in the same category. She caused a season-high four turnovers against Duke (2/9) and picked up a season-high five ground balls at Butler (4/20). Frank concluded the season tied for 10th all-time in career caused turnovers and second in single season caused turnovers (31). She also held a spot on the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll once this year and was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
Prep: During her time at C. Milton Wright, Frank participated on the soccer, basketball and lacrosse team. While on the soccer team she received the Unsung Hero award, Defensive Player of the Year twice, was an All-County selection and team captain. During her basketball career she was team captain for two years and a two time All-County selection. She was also a county, regional and state semi-finalist senior year. In lacrosse she received two defensive player of the year awards, two All-County selections, All-Metro and All-Conference UCBAC awards. On top of being team captain again for two years, she was also a Regional Champion and State Finalist.
Frank also had many academic accolades. She made it on the distinguished Honor Roll all four years of high school, received the Minds in Motion Award four times and was on the National Honor Society, French Honor Society and Science Honor Society three years in a row. Frank was also apart of Student Government and the Class Secretary three straight years.
Personal: Frank was born on January 19, 2000, is the daughter of Michael and Linda Frank and has a sister named Courtney. Her father played one year of football at Penn State University and ran track for three years. Her mother was also an athlete who played one year of basketball and two years of soccer during her time at Loyola University. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, running, listening to music and spending time with her dog. Frank chose Villanova because of its high academic reputation, friendly community and amazing school spirit.
