GAMEDAY: Pirates Conclude Home Schedule With Two Weekend Games

The ECU lacrosse team concludes the home portion of its inaugural season this weekend with a pair of games. The Pirates will host Drexel on Friday, March 30, at 12 noon before an Easter Sunday matchup with Oregon, which is also scheduled for a 12 noon first draw.
The Pirates (2-10) are coming off a 16-2 victory over Delaware State on Saturday. Freshmen Brittany Borchers and Sam Caputo each recorded a hat trick as ECU posted its season-high for goals.
Six players have scored double digit goals this season led by Ally Stanton with 19. Nicole LeGar has found the back of the net 17 times followed Megan Pallozzi (14), Lily Avazis (12), Emma Bowman (10) and Mackell Schultes (10).
Drexel will enter Friday's game with a 2-7 record following a 21-10 loss at No. 25 High Point Wednesday. Colleen Grady scored four goals in the loss. She leads the Dragons in goals (22) and assists (14) this season.
Oregon will come into Sunday's game with a record of 5-5 fresh off a 17-12 win at Vanderbilt Wednesday. The Ducks have a trio of 25-goal scorers led by Jill Zubillaga with 30, fourth-most in the PAC-12. Shannon Williams ranks second on the team with 26 goals followed by Mariah Gatti with 25.
The Pirates will conclude their season with road games at Michigan (April 21), Cincinnati (April 23) and Duke (May 6).
