GREENVILLE, N.C. – Sunday will mark another first for the nascent ECU women's lacrosse program as the Pirates host Vanderbilt inside Johnson Stadium for ECU's inaugural

ECU (5-6) will be looking to work its way out of a recent slide that has seen the Pirates lose five straight games. The Pirates have been much better at home this season, going 3-2 in Johnson Stadium, with one of those losses a triple overtime affair against Campbell.

Brittany Borchers continues to lead ECU in points and assists, with the sophomore already scoring 12 goals and handing out 14 assists to set career-highs. Right behind Borchers is Ally Stanton, with Stanton adding 14 goals and 11 assists. Nicole LeGar and Megan Pallozzi pace ECU with 19 goals each while LeGar is also the team's leader in draw controls, collecting 46 so far.

Vanderbilt (8-2) has the best record among American teams and is coming off a dominant 19-2 win over Butler. The Commodores lead the league in scoring, averaging 15.3 goals per game as well as in defense, allowing just 8.8 goals. Gabrielle Fornia leads the Commodores with 35 points on 10 goals and 25 assists, with her average of 2.5 assists per game ranking her second in the conference. Emily Mathewson is the team's top goal scorer, bagging 20 goals to go with 12 assists. Julie Blaze and Brianne Gross are the top producers at the draw circle, racking up 29 and 27 draw controls, respectively. In the cage, Lily Argyle has played the majority of the minutes and has 52 saves and a .433 save percentage.
