GREENVILLE, N.C. – The second season in program history will come to an end this weekend when the ECU women's lacrosse team hosts Connecticut on Saturday afternoon inside Johnson Stadium.

ECU (5-11, 0-4 AAC) is hoping to finish its season with its first American Athletic Conference win in program history. With a victory against Connecticut, the Pirates can also triple their win total from their inaugural 2018 season.

Ally Stanton leads ECU with 37 points on 24 goals and 13 assists. Along with Stanton, Nicole LeGar (26) and Megan Pallozzi (24) have broken the 20-goal barrier. Brittany Borchers has had a solid season as a creator, racking up 16 goals and a team-high 18 assists while Hannah Rzempoluch has 14 goals and 13 helpers during her rookie campaign. Overall, ECU has scored 156 goals so far, which is already eight more than last season in one less games.

On the defensive side, Christina White has set a new standard for ECU by recording 156 saves and a save percentage of .423. White also leads the team by scooping up 37 ground balls. Hannah Melton leads the team with 15 caused turnovers while Jordyn Cox has forced 11 turnovers. In the draw circle, LeGar leads the team with 59 draw controls while Camryn Pennypacker has 39 in her rookie campaign.

Connecticut (2-14, 0-4 AAC) is also searching for its first conference win of the season. The Huskies have lost six straight games and have yet to win a road game this season, having beaten Albany and Bryant at home. The Huskies' offense is fifth in the conference, averaging 10.25 goals while allowing 15.25 goals, which places them sixth in the league. Sydney Watson leads the team with 36 goals to go along with 11 assists. Olivia Miles (26 goals, 6 assists) and Lia Laprise (16 goals, 16 assists) are tied for second with 32 points. Watson is also the team's lead in draw controls, earning 86 of them to place her second in the AAC. In the goal, Grace Beshlian has started 14 games and has made 143 saves with a save percentage of .429. It will be the first ever meeting between the two programs.
