Last Time Out
The Pirates got back in the win column with a 2-1 win at Temple on Sunday. Carsen Parker scored both goals in the game, one on a rocket from distance and the second, the game winner, on a PK in the second half. The game was the third time on the year that Parker has scored two goals and a late game winner.

Scouting the Bearcats
Cincinnati enters the game with a strong 7-2-6 record with a 3-1-3 mark in conference play. The Bearcats' 12 points puts them one spot ahead of the Pirates in the conference standings and sets up a high-stakes matchup with seeding changes on the line as both teams jockey for position entering the AAC Tournament.
Â
Three players - Vanessa DiNardo, Paige Miller and Megan Smith - have scored four goals on the season for Cincinnati to lead eight players with multiple goals. Defensively, Anna Rexford and the Bearcats' defense has shut out six opponents on the year. On Monday, Rexford and Smith were named AAC Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week, respectively, while Brandi Thomsen earned an Honor Roll nod.
Â
Series History
Cincinnati leads the all-time series 8-2-3 dating back to 2001. The last four matchups, however, have split 1-1-2 with the most recent matchup being a 1-1 draw in two overtimes a year ago in Cincinnati.
Â
What's at Stake
The American Athletic Conference Tournament field is set. Both ECU and Cincinnati are in, win or lose on Thursday; however, there is still plenty to play for. With a win, the Pirates will move to either third or fourth in the conference, depending on results elsewhere, and will host an AAC Tournament game. With a loss or draw, the Pirates will finish either fifth or six and be forced to go on the road for their first-round matchup.
