GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team hosts the George Mason Patriots at 12 p.m. on Saturday in Johnson Stadium. Attendance is free to fans and a feed of the game will be available on ecupirates.com.

Last Time Out
The Pirates dropped a close contest to Navy (RV), 15-14. ECU led by as many as four at 11-7 but a thrilling back-and-forth game, it was destined to be decided by whoever scored last, and the Midshipmen did. Ava Yovino's goal with under two minutes to play was the deciding one as Navy was able to hold off the Pirates the rest of the way.

Scouting George Mason
The Patriots have gotten off to a tough start to their 2023 campaign, dropping their first two games at Monmouth and at home against Longwood. Mason is still led by their leading scorer from 2022, Shannon Tuozzo with seven points thus far on the season on four goals and three assists. Tuozzo, along with Morgan Gunn, also has the team lead with five draw controls in two games.

The Pirates and Patriots have played just once, a year ago in Fairfax, Va. East Carolina came away victorious on the day 16-10, led by a five-point outing (3g, 2a) by Frances Kimel.
