GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team will be making a road swing in the state of South Carolina with games at Furman on Friday at 4 p.m. and Wofford on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Pirates battled past Queens in their first road test of the year last time out. Erin Gulden scored the winning goal with 2:52 to play before Brynn Knight made a save on a free position shot with 2:19 and Caroline Kimel added an insurance goal. Kimel led the team with four goals while Alexandra Giacolone compiled eight ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Scouting Furman
Furman has faced a gauntlet in their first two games against first-year program Clemson and No. 7 Florida. The Paladins fell 19-3 at Clemson before dropping a 20-9 decision to the Gators in Gainesville.

Meagan Beal has accounted for a third of the team's goals on the season with four while also collecting a team-high six draw controls. Lily Rathbun has contributed four of the team's 14 caused turnovers to go with her .304 save percentage.

Scouting Wofford
Wofford has had a challenging start to the season. The Terriers scored just two goals in their first two games while allowing 23 against Clemson and 17 against Lehigh. In their last game, Wofford fell at home against Boston, 15-8.

The Terriers have only scored 10 goals on the season, led by Olivia Abé with three. Emma Krasinski leads the team with seven draw controls while Lily Barger has four caused turnovers and nine ground balls. Aslinn Washburn has played three complete games in goal with a .286 save percentage.

The Pirates and Paladins have met once, a 16-14 ECU win in 2021. The Pirates have also met the Terriers only once, a 20-5 ECU win in 2020.
