GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team will look to get back in the win column as they host AAC foe Vanderbilt on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Johnson Stadium. The game is free to attend and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates fell to Mercer in Johnson Stadium to fall to 8-3. ECU got off to a slow start again before climbing back into the game, leveling the score at eight apiece early in the fourth quarter before the Bears scored five unanswered to slam the door shut on the Pirates' comeback effort. Erin Gulden led the ECU offense with four goals on three points and an assist on a day where the Pirates simply couldn't put a shot away.

Scouting the Commodores
Vanderbilt's record is not particularly indicative of the team's quality. The Commodores are 3-7 against a terrific slate of competition with whom they're largely held their own, including 1-1 in American Conference play with a win over Old Dominion and loss to Cincinnati. Vanderbilt spreads the wealth offensively with five players scoring 10-or-more goals while Paige Gunning has set the mark with a solid .427 save percentage in goal on the season.

Series History
The Pirates are 0-4 in their four meetings against the Commodores with a 19-12 loss marking the last meeting a season ago. Erin Gulden led the Pirates with four goals in that game, but the team fell short after entering the fourth quarter level at 10, allowing nine fourth-quarter goals for Vanderbilt.
