GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team ventures back out on the road for another top-10 matchup this time with the No. 9 Florida Gators in Gainesville, Fla. The game is set for 12 p.m. Saturday and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates nearly missed out on a signature win as they fell to the defending National Champion Tar Heels last time out. ECU led by as many as three in the game but lost a lead late as UNC went on a 6-0 run to open a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Brynn Knight was phenomenal in cage for the Pirates making remarkable saves to keep the team in it.

Scouting the Gators
Florida enters the game with a 10-3 record on the heels of a blowout win over Liberty in their last contest. The Gators are 2-1 in conference play with their lone loss coming to No. 4 James Madison. The Gators are led offensively by Emma LoPinto with 40 goals and 57 total points. LoPinto is joined by three other players with 20-plus goals while three Gators have amassed 30-plus draw controls, led by Liz Harrison's 64.

Series History
The Pirates are 0-5 all-time in their meetings with the Gators. None of the defeats have come by fewer than 10 goals with an 18-7 margin in the latest meeting a season ago. Caroline Kimel did manage five points with three goals in that game, but the Pirates did not have enough offense overall to stay in the game.
