GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team will follow up their season-opening win by hosting the Garder-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs on Wednesday at 4 p.m. on Johnson Stadium. Attendance is free and the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates came from behind to roar past Queens for a 15-12 season-opening win. Frances Kimel and Erin Gulden led the team with four goals and an assist each while Jaime Behar entered the contest late in the second quarter and went on to make 11 saves while allowing just four goals. Emily Stratton also contributed a quartet of goals.

Scouting the Runnin' Bulldogs
Gardner-Webb enters the game after dropping their season opener to Vermont, 20-6. The team got three of their six goals in the final eight minutes of the game after trailing by as many as 17 in the game. Lauren Cretella and Rebecca Ferrina split time between the pipes, combining for six saves in the game while Emma Duchscherer was the lone Gardner-Webb player with more than one goal with her two on the day.

Series History
The Pirates and Runnin' Bulldogs have met twice all time, in 2018 and 2019 with ECU taking both games. The 2019 contest in Greenville was an 18-11 victory for the Pirates paced by Megan Pallozzi's four goals and hat tricks by Nicole LeGar and Emma Bowman. Christina White made 11 saves in goal for the Pirates as she got the win.
