GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina lacrosse team is set to travel to Annapolis, Md. for a date with the No. 19 Navy Midshipmen on Saturday. The game is set for 11:30 a.m. and will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates shook off a one-goal first quarter to blow by Gardner-Webb 17-6 on Wednesday. Kayla Wilkes, having never registered a hat trick, put up five goals and four draw controls in the game. Five goals was one off of program record. In total, nine ECU players registered a point, eight scored a goal and five recorded multiple goals. Jaime Behar got the start in goal and did everything that was asked of her with seven saves and just the six goals allowed.

Scouting the Midshipmen
Navy has a 19 by their name and they look the part. The team defeated then-No. 24 Duke in their season opener, 10-9, and looked even better than the score showed as Duke scored the final six goals of the game to charge back into it before running out of time. Emily Messinese put up a hat trick in the game and the Midshipmen dominated on the draw to the tune of a 17-6 edge for the game.

Series History
The Pirates and Midshipmen have met just once and it was a dandy a season ago. The Pirates led 11-9 through three quarters before a back-and-forth final period ended with Ava Yovino scoring the game-winning goal for Navy with just 1:59 to play in the contest. Yovino finished that game with five goals and three assists to lead all scorers.
