Pirates Finish 9th and 11th at Panorama Farms Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – East Carolina cross country teams concluded their time at Panorama Farms Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia, on Friday, October 17, with both the men's and women's squads gaining experience on the challenging 6K and 8K courses.
The women's team finished 9th overall out of 16 teams in the 6K race, totaling 284 points. Abrielle Schweitzer led the Pirates, posting a strong time of 21:25.2. She was the first ECU athlete across the line, securing an impressive 29th place finish in a deep field of competitors. Kaylee McCullough followed behind, crossing the line in 42nd place.
On the men's side, ECU finished 11th overall out of 15 teams in the 8K event with a team score of 358 points. Senior Alex Sawyer paced the Pirates, placing 68th overall with a time of 25:13.9. Cooper Kleckner was the second Pirate finisher, coming in at 72nd place.
