WICHITA, K.S. – East Carolina volleyball (11-12, 3-9 American) continues its conference schedule on the road this weekend, heading west to face Wichita State on Friday before traveling to Tulsa for a Sunday matchup.Â
Wichita State (16-8, 8-4 American) enters the weekend tied for fourth in the conference standings alongside Tulsa and Florida Atlantic. The Shockers are riding a two-match win streak after a strong showing last week, taking down Florida Atlantic in four sets before sweeping second-place South Florida. Playing .500 volleyball at home this season, Wichita State will look to protect its court against an ECU team that made history in the teams' last meeting. The Pirates captured their first-ever win over the Shockers earlier this season, a thrilling five-set victory in Greenville.
The Shockers are powered offensively by Sydney Dunning, who leads the team with 331 kills and 27 service aces. On defense, Gabi Maas anchors the backline with a team-high 270 digs, while Maddie Wilson has been a force at the net, recording 104 total blocks.

On Sunday, the Tulsa (18-6, 8-4 American) faces a team looking to bounce back after a challenging weekend on the road. The Golden Hurricane dropped both of its matches last week, falling in straight sets to both South Florida and Florida Atlantic. Despite the skid, Tulsa has been dominant at home, posting a 7-1 record, with its only loss coming to North Texas.
Historically, Tulsa has controlled the series with ECU, leading 25-3 all-time.Â
The Golden Hurricane features Lauren Eitler, who impacts every phase of the game. Eitler paces the team in kills while also ranking among Tulsa's leaders in service aces (fourth, 12), assists (fourth, 28), digs (third, 236), and blocks (fourth, 31.0). Lauren Patterson leads the team in digs with 318, and Jill Hanson anchors the defense at the net with 86 total blocks.
Both matches will be available to stream on ESPN+.
