GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team gets a chance at a signature program win on Tuesday, hosting the No. 12/13 Duke Blue Devils for a 5 p.m. contest in Johnson Stadium. Attendance for the game is free and for those unable to attend, the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+ with Dennis Cox and Debbie Taylor on the call.

Last Time Out
The Pirates took a thumping in their American Athletic Conference opener against South Florida on Saturday. After scoring the opening goal, it was tough sledding from there as the team trailed by double-digit goals for much of the second half. 15 South Florida player scored goals in the game, while for ECU, Leah Bestany was one bright spot with six points on five goals and an assist.

Scouting the Blue Devils
Duke has themselves quite the team this season with a 7-3 record and a top 15 ranking in both major polls. The team has struggled a tad away from home with all three losses coming in road contests, but enter the game on the heels of a 13-4 beating of California. Statistically, Bella Goodwin leads with 38 points while Callie Hem's 31 goals are a team high. Defensively, Amanda Paci already has 20 caused turnovers on the season while Kennedy Everson has gotten every start in goal with 76 saves to 87 goals allowed.

Series History
The Blue Devils have owned the all-time series against the Pirates, 7-0. It was a close call last season as the Pirates got within a goal in the fourth quarter after trailing by as many as nine, and even had the ball with a chance to tie late, but were unable to convert before Duke sealed the deal with one last goal in a 14-12 game.
