Pirates Pick Up Two Wins On Second Day Of Pirate Clash

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Macey Ciamillo hit her first collegiate home run as East Carolina picked up two wins on the second day of the Pirate Clash, defeating Towson 4-3 in eight innings and run-ruling St. Bonaventure 9-1 in five innings on Saturday night at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium.
Ciamillo went 2-for-3 at the plate in both games while Julia Apostolakos picked up the win including tossing five strikeouts in the second game.
For the second time in this tournament, the Pirates went to extra innings with Towson but this time the Purple and Gold prevailed as Trinity Nichols' walk off single scored Kendall Manos to get ECU the 4-3 win.
The Pirates quickly built a 4-0 lead early against St. Bonaventure and blew the game open with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to cruise to the win.
