GREENVILLE, N.C. --- ECU will suit up for game three of its five-game homestand Saturday as they play host to Delaware State at 12 noon inside Johnson Stadium.
The Pirates are coming off a disappointing 17-13 loss to Longwood Tuesday night. ECU led by three goals early in the second half, but were outscored 10-3 in the game's final 28 minutes. Emma Bowman and Nicole LeGar led the Pirates with three goals apiece.
ECU has lost nine in a row since recording the program's first-ever victory on Feb. 18 at Gardner-Webb. Ally Stanton leads the Pirates with 19 goals and 21 points followed be LeGar with 17 goals and 18 points. Bowman and Lily Avazis have also accumulated 18 points.
Delaware State is winless this season having played just four games. The Hornets have been outscored 77-18 in their first four games and have yielded nearly 100 more shot attempts (149-53). Olivia Summerville (7) and Lauren Perry (6) have accounted for 13 of the team's 18 goals this season.
