GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina lacrosse team hits the road for the first time on the season as they travel to take on the Queens Royals in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday at 12 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Pirates trounced the Campbell Camels last time out, pushing the lead to double figures just over two minutes into the second half. Camryn Pennypacker, Caroline Kimel and Sophia LoCicero all scored four goals while Erin Gulden notched three. Sydney Frank and Flynn Reed contributed six and four draw controls for the Pirates to help control possession and build the lead. 20 goals scored tied the program record for ECU.

Scouting Queens
Queens enters the game with an 0-2 record as they make the leap to Division I including a loss to No. 22 Richmond on Feb. 11. Shannon Kingston leads the Royals with four goals and a pair of assists while Maura O'Donogue has added three goals, two assists and seven draw controls.

The Royals entered the 2023 season on the heels of a 21-2 campaign a season ago which ended in the NCAA DII Semifinals against East Stroudsburg, a 13-12 OT loss. Queens will now be looking to build a different kind of success a division higher.
